WTF? Promoting Paysites With 'Public Domain' Content On Their Tours?

I really dont understand why adult webmasters do this, i mean, lets be honest, you'd have to be an idiot to not realize the content being used on some of these more amateur looking sites isnt licensed yet people still flock to the site because it is something 'unique' including some of the more prominent individuals/companies/sites in the industry.

Why is content theft not okay but promoting sites that are blatently stealing other peoples content, or using 'content' that isnt even 'adult' in nature fine with many of the same people who are against content theft?

I mean you only have to look around some of the sites listed on GayDemon or JUB to see who the individuals are that are willfully promoting sites using stolen content, when is it okay to turn a blind eye to content theft?

    Regards,

    Lee

    When it makes you money.

I ran into this situation a few months back - I told people about their content being inside the membership area of a site and the answer was...

"Well they lease a feed from us so I guess they use it to promote that" WITHOUT looking at the site in question - and if they did, would have found their content within the members galleries AND NOT promoting the feeds.

    EXCLUSIVE CONTENT BTW

    -

Another answer I got was "Well I know they paid for a few sets of ___'s content" so it "should" all be good.

Interesting? Well I'd feel compelled to comment if you'd give us some examples of paysites that use 'public domain' content. I honestly have never seen such a thing. AVS galleries, yes... but paysites, no.

Public Domain content (not to give him credit for the term) was used by someone banned from here, and found to have unpaid for content within his sites.

He called it "Public Domain" content because he was able to find it on free sites like "Pridesites.com/ user" and determined it to be public domain. For the simple fact of it being freely used by anyone who wanted to have a dirty photo on their webpage and knew the ancient art of RIGHT CLICK > SAVE IMAGE AS:

Thus dubbing it ~ Public Domain Content

You'd think after the Falcon Foto incident, people would be cleaning house in a big way. Tucker now owns PornKings as a result of his lawsuit against them. They were ordered to pay $3.2 million and obviously couldn't cover it. Tucker took the sites as compensation.

PornKings had been using unlicensed Falcon Foto content for about 8 months. Just a few hundred pictures if I remember correctly. They eventually took the pictures down but Tucker still went after them for compensation because they wouldn't give him even a cent for the infringement and he won big.

Moral of the story: Sue the fuckers.

Well, in the past week I've reported about ten 'paysites' with stolen content on their 'tour' or in their 'free area' to webmasters who should legally own the content. Actually I haven't received even one reply.

That raises the question if those webmasters are not interested to go after people who steal their content or if they somehow 'licensed' the content and are afraid/embarassed to admit the fact that they are either making some money on the side or don't care if someone steals their content.

With all the sites I've reported it would be pretty easy to detect the individual behind it because they either accept PayPal (yes, PAYPAL), cheques or even credit cards to get access to their member areas.

you could also edit this down to just say:

are afraid/embarassed to admit that they AREN'T making money and CANNOT afford to go after people.

To me, a "Free" email C&D over and over is quite telling of their Program.

And the email Porn Kings affiliates received shortly after:

    Hello,
As you may or may not be aware, FEI Holdings has become the new owners of Pornkings. This program and its history mean a lot to us and we look forward to taking it to the next level by putting a fresh face on a strong name with history in our business. The case that existed is settled and behind us and as this transition takes place, it is our hope that it has as little impact as possible on you.
I want you to know that I am personally available to answer any questions directly and it is this open line of communication that has always allowed me to solve any issues one may have. My email is tucker@falconfoto.com and my ICQ is 254-334.
    First things first…
We are in the process of getting all of the domains moved over to a new registrar. Once that transfer is complete, we will have to move the information on the server over to the new servers at WebAir. We are waiting for the 2257 documentation to show up at our office so that we can sort what is what and the processors are in process of moving the accounts over.
In order to get this program really moving again, we are going to be implementing a new backend that will garner much stronger retention. This will include supplying it with real relevant niche content. One of the items you may not know is that Falcon owns one of the world’s largest libraries of niche specific content and only 20% of our 2.5M+ images have EVER been seen on the web. This means that we can supply content never seen outside of magazines and DVD’s to end users. We have built our company on the foundation of understanding the niche marketplace. Having supplied more than 40% of all content in men’s magazines for more than 15 years and being that we created such notable brands as Barely Legal and Hometown Girls puts us in a great place to provide YOU with the tools that will allow you to make this rock! Updated galleries with fresh content, new banners and a look designed for the niche and targeted to convert.
    For those of you who have not worked the program in a while, here are the conversion ratios for this period;
    1:107 Perfectiongirls.com - Teen Amateur
    1:123 New Nymphos.com - Teen Hardcore
    1:128 Footlong.com - Big Dick
    1:146 Dixondoes.com - Solo Teen
    1:214 Erotica.com - Sexy
    1:230 Megaporn.com - Hardcore Movies
    1:305 Aged Ladies - Mature
    1:315 Skinnybitches.com - Hardcore
    1:357 Indianfever.com - East Indian
    1:398 Club21.com - Hardcore Party
    1:423 Chubby.com - BBW – FAT
    1:517 Wetdreams.com - Squirting
As things progress I will keep you up to date and appreciate your understanding and patience. Again I am here if you need me and feel free to take advantage of it.

    Sincerely,
    Jason Tucker
