An interesting conversation i had with someone last night made me wonder about this, do you folks know anyone who claims to be an 'ex-gay'?

I know one that claimed to be...a roomate (really!) in the early 80's that was a founder of a big 'ex-gay' group. Except he kept that secret from the other two guys in the house who all knew him as a big ol' homo. UNTIL we saw him on television saying how he had been saved from the demon. Amazing double life this guy was living. Had a huge autographed Debbie Boone photo on his dresser...that should have been a clue.
well, some men and women go from str8 to gay - why shu8oldn't some go from gay to str8?
people go from straight to gay because they finally admit to themselves that they are gay all along. I have not heard of one person going from gay to straight because they have realized they are really straight. The ones that do are ones that have outside influences placed on them weather it be family or worse, RELIGION!!! Either you are gay or you are straight. Theres no switching..
...gawd..its too early here in oz for such deep thoughts...:coffee: :coffee: :coffee: :coffee:
I admit it. I am an ex-straight.
I guess that was obvious from my board name, . Of course, I was always gay but couldn't admit it to myself.
As for those ex-gay men, don't nearly all of them slip back to their old gay ways?
, im an ex straight as well. I was married for 15 years, have 2 kids and 4.5years ago, came out and got out of an opressive religion as well. A huge life change for me but for the better I think. cant imagine doing this for a living being married and a Jehovah's Witness.:develish:
LOL ... that almost makes me feel better ... but I think one of the parting comments was ... "if you were a man, you'd be the perfect soulmate for me ..."
... and trust me, she's got one of the worst cases of closet gay I've ever seen. Yea - she married, has no kids, but he's of the same faith, etc etc.
Hummm ...
I can't think of any gay person throughout my life, ever switching teams.
I've de-flowered a few ... but the gay never rubbed off.
I have no emotional attachments to Women, so I'd make a bad dyke. Now mind you, I can be friendly .. but usually only to be a good Hostess.
From Victor/Victoria
[Trying to explain why she can't pass for a man]
Victoria: Men have Adam's apples.
Toddy: So do some women.
Victoria: Name one.
Toddy: Nana Lanu.
Victoria: Nana Lanu, who's she?
Toddy: The last woman I slept with.
Victoria: When was that?
Toddy: The night before the morning I decided to become a homosexual.
