Greetings, I host a popular gay Podcast and Blog called Jaded City. You can find this at JadedCity.com. Our show features news, current events, humor, and other random stuff. Our show is geared towards adult gay men.

Each year I do my AIDS Ride which is a 7 day ride across the state of New York. This ride raises around $1,000,000 each year for world wide AIDS charities. I have been using my Podcast and Blog to raise money this year, however it's not going as well as I expected. My goal to raise $3,500 in 3 months has fell short. With just 6 weeks to go, I have only managed to raise $1,125 so far.

So I have decided to sell sponsorship of my podcast and website blog for a period of 6 months to whoever wants it. The cost is a $2,000 donation to my ride, which is 100% tax deductible. In exchange for sponsoring my ride in this amount, you will get the following..

1. Complete ownership of the Top Banner Ad space on my site for 6 months. (800px wide by 125px tall) This will bypass any affiliate program so you will retain 100% of any referrals you get. The banner will be displayed via iframe so you can change it anytime you want and promote whatever you want.

2. 30 second audio commercial at the beginning of each episode of Jaded City for 6 months. (26 episodes with an average 4,000 downloads per epsiode) This can change when ever you like, just send me a new mp3 file and I will use it for the next show.

Will this effectively bring you new customers? I can't answer that since Jaded City has never had sponsors before. The only thing I can guarantee is 6 months of exclusive advertising for your website or sites. And if nothing else, it's tax deductible as it will be a charitable contribution. Ya I figured as much. But that would require more banners on the site and I wanted to avoid turning the site into a banner farm or having the podcast filled with endless commercial spots. I figured it was worth a shot. I'm just going to have to come up with a better idea. Maybe I can sell my "new music" segment to some record company, I'll figure something out. :morning:

Just stick the banners in a rotation, problem solved

It seems like you have enough traffic to sustain a rotation or 2 or 3 banners at $650 per banner, and you'll stand a better chance of finding 2 or 3 sponsors at that price than 1 at a higher price

When it comes to sales you need to be able to expand your reach, there arent many people/companies who will offer $2k for sponsorship but there are a lot more than will offer $650 giving you a much greater chance at closing the deal, the more leads you have, the better.

Seeking 4 Sponsors to donate to my AIDS ride in exchange for 6 months of free sponsorship of my Podcast and blog. The new price is just $500 a sponsor. That breaks down to $83.30 a month and it's all tax deducible. In exchange for your one time donation of $500 you will get the following....

You can find a link to this site in our show notes. Blaa Blaa Blaa on with the segment." By the way, you can write the ad's bumper copy as that was cheesy, but you get the idea.

3. A link to your website within our show notes which is syndicated on hundreds of websites around the net. You can see an example of our show notes at This: rss feed for any idea of what it looks like. We will just add in your website addy around the part where we promote that shows segment. If nothing else, it will jack up your sites Google rank for 6 months.
