A quick question about 2257, if I share xtube vids on my site, since i'm not doing the hosting, (there embeded in my blog) I don't need to worry about 2257, right? I'm asking this because the hosting of those vids are not on my server but people view the vids directly on my blog.

It's one of those things that there's no definitive answer, but most of the attorneys have said that if your URL is at the top of the page, you'd better have 2257 docs on file, regardless of whether it's embedded or hosted on your server.
Think of it this way: Imagine trying to explain to Elmo and Ethel on a Chattanooga jury how content is pulled from one server but displayed on your page, and it's not really your content. If you can't explain it to Ethel, you're probably going to be having an all expense vacation courtesy of the federal prison system.

You're in Canada -- I don't see why you'd have to worry about a US law.
Some do worry. No idea why. I mean i try to obey US law but i use sponsor content and dont have those id's. What can you do? But some non US webmasters really do get that rapped up in law that doesnt affect them.
Im sure that guy who got arrested for owning an online gambling site thought the same way, until he was arrested then suddenly realized that US law did affect him

If you step inside the States, sure. But I'm not sure that the UK government would extradite for lack of 2257 documents unless it was shown that the model concerned was under 18.
If they would, then the UK is even more fucked up than we all think it is.
