What Is The Most You Have Ever Paid For A Domain Name?

One that somebody else registered and you purchased it from them?

I must admit, i think the most i have ever paid for a single .com domain from someone else was $150 but they didnt know the value of the name they were selling.

The most someone has ever paid for a domain we've owned was about $10k a few years ago if memory serves me correctly.

So whats the most you have ever paid for a domain name that someone else registered before you?

    Regards,

    Lee

$6500.00 for just a name... A couple at $5K and a few around the $2K level. Hopefully we will actually develop them one of these days, .

US$400 and due to a RegisterFly.com fuck-up, I lost the domain. My account said the domain was due to expire in 2007. So imagine my surprise when I went to redirect the type-in traffic this website was receiving to another domain sometime in 2006 only to discover the domain supposedly didn't exist, even though it was still in my account with a 2007 expiration date.

    Good times.

If you haven't done so, contact GoDaddy, they acquired all of the Registerfly mess and a lot of people who lost domains, even ones that had been bought by somebody else at drop, have gotten them back.
