404 pages

Is it better to pick up sponsors for your 404 pages or redirect them back to the main site?

A few affiliates are using http://www.condom404.com with great success and its something i use myself on all of my sites.

It ultimately depends on the 'type' of site where the 404 page is going to be used, on a directory type setup, then 404'ing to the root makes more sense than sending that error traffic to somewhere like Condom404 however, if you are 404'ing domains that have a bunch of TGP galleries or free sites on them, sending that traffic to somewhere like Condom404 would be a better option than sending it to the domains root.
