Web Design Color Pallets

How do you decide which colors to work with when designing a site? Is there certain colors that you stick with? Do you go in it knowing what colors, or do you just play with it until they look right?

Photoshop CS3 has a color wheel that picks 3 that work together If you don't already have cs3

Or you could use the websites that list 3 and 4 color combos

But I find magazine ads to be a great resource for finding color combos I like best.

i also use that colormatch site and have for a long time but it has changed a lot the last month or two
