new content purchases

how often do you do new content purchases? do you wait till the big sales hit and then do bulk orders, or do you purchase it throughout the year when you need it?

Can't say I've done big purchases of late, but I DO definately go look when the promotion emails hit my box. I know what content I can use and if I see a good deal, I try to avail myself of it.
