    Why aren't the different versions of Photoshop compatible?

    Would that be too easy? I hate that my designer that I use has a different version than me, and my version cannot read his layers! It is irritating as hell to have to send a message to him "can you change that letter to this letter" when I could just do it myself if they were compatible

    Most things are Backwards Compatible. Not forward. This is where you are having issues? Or?
