Why Do Some Peoples Threads Go Unanswered?

Whilst other peoples get a load of on-topic replies?

Do you think the person who starts the thread has a lot to do with whether or not it will get any replies?

It could, could also be the topic isn't of importance to others, or they simply want to come back to it later but forget, lots of reasons I'd say. :coffee:

I have seen the same topic poster a day apart and the later of the two, posted by a forum celebrity, gets the reply.

Not to say it's the new users fault or that it was a topic unworth the answer, but from what I have seen, it's you don't know them and they don't make you money, why talk to them until they do? (at least hoe it looks)

And not on GWW but on forums as a whole.

That is another topic on it's own... (When users feel an open comment is directed to a single instance)

Aww, you guys spoiled the obvious would-be joke by responding.

Weekend posts can often take longer to get responses, if any, but that's probably a "weekend off" thing since this is mostly a business board.

I do think the original poster matters to an extent. Though not directly an OP issue, this sort of thing has even shown itself in the Birthday threads.

i originally didn't respond to this thread because i liked the irony of it having no responses.
