    A new term "lifecasters"

Seems like justin.tv is all the rage now on the internet. Those who share their life on cam. It's actually a cool site. Plays with the other idea of those who text what they are doing to a website all the time.

Don't really know how long it will last. Kind of funny if you ask me. It's basically a web 2.0 version of the old webcam sites.

I grabbed a few domains today. Maybe something to watch.

It's an iffy term and here is why:

Lifecasting is the term for casting a mold of someone who is alive.

as aposed to a death cast where you make a cast of someone who is dead.

A death cast seems odd but it's done on a lot of famous people for archive reasons.

[edit] but google does pull up a lot of podcasting sites under the lifecaster term [/edit]

Let's hope mine will be one of them. Hehehehe.

Seriously though, many terms take on new meanings as the world evolves.

I never knew what lifecasting was. Hell, even as I type this firefox says I misspelled it. Then firefox says I misspelled firefox. Go figure.

the first time i saw that was a woman who DID sometimes do sexy stuff, but at the time i saw her cam, she was lying in bed in flannel pajamas watching tv with her cat.

later a friend asked me to check some stuff out, and i watched a couple and their friends eat thanksgiving dinner.

    go figure!

In academia we used a while back the term 'mycasting', but that was back when podcasting was all the rage. This is definetly something cool and bound to get more mainstream attention in the coming years.

Maybe the gimmick was that the Thanksgiving dinner was the cat!
