I Wonder? Could Content Created In The 90's Be Classified As 'Retro'?

I just wondered what you folks thought about this, do you think surfers would consider content (images and movies) created in the mid to late 90's as retro yet or are we still a few years off until that time comes?

Im kind of interested in seeing if a 'nineties' gay porn site would work well on the vintage/retro niche in addition to 60s, 70's and 80's porn.

With the vintage niche gaining momentum online over the last 9 months i really want to stay ahead of the curve when it comes to this niche.

Your thoughts, could content created in the 90's be used successfully on a retro site?

    Regards,

    Lee

Content I created of my furry self in the 1980s is still saleable.

maybe the very earliest 90's porn could be batched with 80's porn. ask yourself this, Lee - was there a "look" that identifies 90's porn? with 80's porn, there is - mullets, the mustaches, even the earth tones in the carpets and the furniture. even without realizing it, we see those things and our minds know. so - is there something that makes porn made in 1997 look different from porn made in 2002?

I would say no, especially if it's got condoms.

The appeal of vintage is first from the look and style, and second by the lack of condoms.

I have a vault of non-porn video footage I shot in the early 90's and I'm in the same predicament. It's too old to be contemporary and too young to be retro. Use the material for a different niche.

Agreed. Lack of condoms is the main attraction.
