    bisexual.com - auction price?

Hey guys....just wondering if any of you know how much bisexual.com was going for at the domain auction at Internext? Noticed some good domains at JFK's Fubar site.

Don't think it sold...but just 'curious' as to the asking price.

    thx

I got the reserve list, I forget what that one had for reserve but I remember that most of the crappy domains had huge reserves like 10,000 for .org domains, and there were a few of them that were really good names and their reserve was in the 100,000 - 500,000 range.

    thanks Chili.
If you can dig up that list or come across it anytime please post the amount. It surprised me really cause the domain is built out with a tonne of resource links and info. Maybe that's part of the reason for its higher reserve. Usually the domains for sale are parked and have no content.

    anyway....thx

I chucked the list in a bin by the infinity pool (I believe my eyes were distracted by other hot reserves ), so there is no way I will find it for you, sorry!

The domain auction did have a number of really good names, but honestly, I thought most were way over-valued. I bet that if they had a reasonable reserve they would have actually gotten their asking price.

That's a great domain name. Wish I would have gotten it (but not really into bi porn). Is there a big market for bi stuff? Anyone on here have a bi site?

It's owned by the guys that run Three Pillows.

You can prolly get contact info at http://www.bibucks.com

I really think the site is better as not a porn site. But then bisexuals.com is a redirect to a dating site. With that name you almost need the plural as well.

WOW! 3pillows needs a new design. I don't think that table is even 700px wide and the thumbs are tiny. I was actually surprised to see the recent update dates. It looks so ancient.

It retains very well and converts very well also.

For some strange reason the bisexual community is into that type of design. Almost reminds me in some ways of lesbian sites. Design a flashy tour and you are targeting horny guys. Do an amateur community type tour and you attract lesbians.

If I remember correctly bisexual.com was a very modern design and did not convert well at all.

You are wrong, every surfer on the net wants a 1000px wide tour with lots of graphics in the style of a reality or episode site, nothing else will sell because it is just outdated!!!!!

Oh c'mon guys! A 700 pix wide table with 100x100px thumbs doesn't seem pretty fucking crazy in 2007?!

I can appreciate an amateur-style tour if it sells well. But on a 22" monitor I need a microsope to even see what's happening in those thumbs. Amateur does not equal tiny thumbs.

    Jim,

Most surfers dont have 22 inch monitors though

Seperate the 'webmaster' from the 'surfer' just because you and i have a large monitor, doesnt mean most surfers have, dont forget, its really only been the last 12 months where new PC bundles have come shipped with 17 inch monitors.

    Regards,

    Lee

Really? i could swear that 17" monitors were commonly bundled 3 or 4 years ago. 19" monitors are standard on all but the cheapest Dell desktop bundles now.
