How often do you reboot your computer?

When I used Windows 2000 it seemed like hardly ever. My bf has a Mac and it seems like hardly ever. For some reason me and Dreamweaver just don't get along too well and I am rebooting a couple times a day. Maybe it's having 200+ domains in a cache. But I have 4 gigs.

Couple times a day, as I use a lot of resource hog programs, helps clean up the little bits and stuff... :morning:

I reboot my laptop every time it locks up... probably 3-4 times a week.

So you guys leave your computer on even when your sleeping?

Like Ian, I have to restart everytime I'm done using a resource heavy program like video and photo editing. And IE7 has recently become a problem. It must have a memory leak. It locks up on me about once a day and terminating and restarting it causes a massive strain on my processor. So a restart is also necessary when that happens.

Ill reboot my laptop (my main machine) about 2 times a day, primarily when im running programs like Photoshop a lot though because it hogs the resources.

The desktop in the cupboard, i dont think its been rebooted for almost 1 month now and its still happily encoding and resizing images with no problems LOL

    Regards,

    Lee

Once a month or more if I can...

I hate rebooting, it always taking forever and after that I need to re-open icq, my mails etc. I hate doing that

Here at the office, I don't -have- to reboot unless I leave the computer on over the weekend three times in a row or more... I leave it on all week. But then again, I'm not using video/photo software either.

At home though, my housemate doesn't really have to reboot hers either, and she's on photoshop nearly all day with the PC.

I used to reboot my Win 2000 machine daily. Then I put VISTA on it, and now I reboot weekly.

In the past year, I have rebooted my iMac only when installing software (new or upgrades) that require reboot to complete installation.

My Mac G5 PPC is turned on and turned off just for the duration of the project in question - and only 2-3 times left on overnight unattended. Same for my MacBook and Titanium G4 notebook.

I'm getting another iMac (the new sleek black and aluminum) to replace the VISTA machine. (Naughty, bad, really naughty bad Bill Gates.)

BTW, the new Apple Aluminum keyboard is AWESOME!!! $49 of sleek aluminum - with keys on it. So much more fun to type on. It's USB so it would play well with any PC. http://store.apple.com/1-800-MY-APPL...nplm=MB110LL/A
