    Explorer folder viewing

Is there a way to make the folder images bigger in Explorer. The 4 little thumbnail images on the folder graphic are too small for my failing eyes. I need to visually scan through 100's of folders and i can't clearly see the images anymore to be able tell what is in the folder.

You can right click on any folder, go to the Customize tab and where it says "Folder Pictures" you can click "Choose Picture" and select a single image to be displayed on the folder instead of 4 smaller pictures. I can't see a way to do this automatically for a large group of folders and sub-folders, though.

Well that is great to know for the future! I'll do that for all new content. Now I just need a way to do it for about 300 folders of photo content without going through them by hand.

Are they all under one directory or the root directory? You could try to set the setting for the root directory, and make sure to check the apply to all sub folders... it works sometimes :morning:

If you are scanning for photos just load up Google's Picasa, it's free and you see the full folder content, not just the 4 thumbs

a quick screen grab that shows you your folder tree on the left and the folder content in the main view

you can just down arrow the folder tree or if you have a scrolling mouse, scroll through the folders.

In Vista you can choose from about 4 different sizes, its actually the first thing i setup when inserting a new disk of content and like was mentioned above, be sure to check the option to make it default for all sub dirs too.
