Tempe, Arizona – August 07, 2007 - The Forums Company, LLC today announced the rescheduling of the 2nd Gay Phoenix Forum, to be held in conjunction with the 2008 Phoenix Forum at the Tempe Mission Palms in Arizona from March 27 – 30, 2008.
Prior to the inaugural Gay Phoenix Forum (GPF) in October of 2006, the Phoenix Forum was one of the first Industry tradeshows to recognize the benefits of bringing the Gay and Straight sectors closer together in both a social and a business environment. The first GPF event extended excellent opportunities for the gay online adult community and has since opened the closet door for several similarly targeted Industry events during the year, including the 1st Annual GAYVN Summit which was held this past February and the GAYVN Retreat set for this October 2007 in Los Angeles, CA.
“When we discovered the scheduling conflicts between this year’s Gay Phoenix Forum and the GAYVN Retreat, we carefully considered feedback from the community on how to proceed with our show. From what we heard, too many shows, too close together would be financially restrictive to some in our community, so we chose to join the two Forums together. We believe this new format gives both our attendees and sponsors a chance to leverage our gay and non-gay peers with one amazing spring event” said Laurie Biviano, VP of Education and Marketing for CCBill.
“As the hosting committee for the event, we believe that bringing the two groups together will create a strong synergy for participants that would be missing if the two events were held separately. This combined format will ultimately allow us to provide an even more comprehensive trade conference experience geared toward the Adult Online Business Community as a whole and provide attendees the chance to network and leverage the expertise of both their straight and gay peers at a single show with a single hotel and airfare cost.” says Ron Cadwell, President and CEO of CCBill and Cavecreek Web Hosting.
The ‘08 Gay Forum will not be a minor subset of the Phoenix Forum, but a chance to spread the business knowledge across gay and non-gay adult business professionals, and well as spotlight separate ‘gay-oriented’ events, educational opportunities and session tracks focused on the gay business market.
The Phoenix Forum has always encouraged diversity through the structured format and inclusive nature of the show, and this new, inclusive format will follow the same philosophy and provide an unparalleled opportunity for many companies that cross-sell within both markets. Whether Gay or Straight, each attendee will have the chance to attend any party or seminar they chose – but the goal is to open up webmaster opportunities across both market segments and still offer the intimacy of a gay-only event.
This will allow participants to determine for themselves how to achieve the most value from the show based on their individual business goals.
Registration for the 2008 show will include entry to both Forums.
With targeted activities and seminars running side by side throughout the three day event, sponsorships for the 2008 Phoenix Forum and Gay Phoenix Forum will offer companies the opportunity for exposure in front of both business groups.
More information on registration and sponsorship opportunities for the combined 2008 Forums will be posted soon at http://www.thephoenixforum.com
Its great to see that the GPF is going to continue as its own show withint he regular Phoenix Forum and nice to see that there are going to be plenty of opportunities for those of us wanting to work with both gay and straight companies as part of our business development, im glad to see that CCBill didnt just lump both shows together but instead, chose to put them on at the same time as stand-alone and converged entities, thats a great move IMHO

Lee
