i'm not a big go-places person. i have never had a strong yen for a place. hearing certain bands or meeting people is more what i would think about.

figuring stuff out, making them work. and the people - i've met some wonderful people. heck, i'm seeing don and ross for lunch :-)

the flaming, the right wing attacks, being ripped off

who are your heros and why?
for years, i'd answer mae west and quentin crisp... and you know, i think they still are. mae west was uncompromising in how she lived her life, she was very open to other people's sexuality, she was a female who made being sexy not a submissive thing. quentin crisp (check out the book or bbc special about him "the naked civil servant) was out at a time when being out meant a lot more pain and loss than i can imagine. he was true to himself no matter what.

my two favorite bassists are l.a. locals - d.a. foster from extra fancy, who inspired me in every day. brian allen from thunk, who is so talented it makes my teeth hurt. and gotta give honorable mention to fieldy from korn who REALLY helped bring the bass to the front of metal, les claypool, who is a god, and flea who is such a great funk player and made being a bassplayer more than being that quiet guy in the back.

i'm thinking and thinking. i've done little stupid things as a kid - sending pizzas to people and stuff. but i can't think of any vindictive thing - when i was younger, i partied all the time, and now i like to move on. i'll get back to this one if i can think of anything.

- i'm not gay, i'm bi - and i guess i sorta always knew. half my earliest crushes were on females and half on males. i'm talking like 5 years old.
