Has anyone ever seen this site LOL.. It is crazy.. I sold a pair of kelly taylor underwear off of here once for 75 dollars LOL.. You should check it out if you have not already.. What a good idea.. It is like the ebay of the porn industry haha :donmike:

P.s. to bad this wasnt marketed better and had a better design and layout cause I think a site like this has the potential to be huge. Maybe something one of the webmasters here could redo better.

When EBAY started purging us adult sellers in 2002, I sold on NaughtyBids for a few months, until one of their allied companies bought one of my DVDs, and started selling it.

When I complained, NB banned me.

I think the primary buyers on NB like stained underwear.

well this was along time ago.. and they wherent even stained.. I dunno I just think that someone could really remake a website like this and have it be a hit if marketed correctly.. :idea:

I've sold memberships to my paysites on NaughtyBids along with our DVDS and clothing from photoshoots.. Signed 8x10's etc

I just checked out the NaughtyBids site again after a couple of years... same ol' same ol' look and design from 2002.

Did NOT see any video stuff stolen from me for sale !! For a change!

DVDs mostly from Attic Men and Sneek Peek... not as much homemade as before.

Saw a TON of clothing items: jocks, briefs and shoes.

Saw Dean's Store! Browsed a few pages of stuff, same ol' same ol', then I closed the browser and went on to other more important things!

I'm not sure how I heard about NB in 2002, but it was during the great EBAY purge. Somehow, some where I read about it on a message board, and signed up and sold a bunch of DVDs.

Then the bad stuff started hitting the fan.

A company (not well liked here) claimed I was selling a video that they had exclusives to. When I produced the Bill Of Sale entitling me to the work, they dropped the title from their catalog and all was well, except that my listings had been deleted in the interim.

Then a company that had a TON of listings on NB bought one of my non-sexual titles, and chopped it up and put it in a couple of their sloppy compilations of public exhibitionism. When I complained, I got banned. But I didn't see their stuff tonight...

NB is a wholly owned and operated subsidiary of Rick's Cabaret International, Inc., so with that kind of money behind them, I doubt one will ever see any changes to the site. To me the biggest problem with them was not the design but rather the collusion between the management and a few of the sellers who had hundreds of listings.

When PayPal started purging adult sellers also in the 2002 era, NB started promoting StormPay as a merchant processor, but StormPay dropped adult in 2004 and now on NB's main page there's info about PayPal warming up to some adult.

Interesting roller coaster ride. Now that I am more a shooter than a marketer, and less and less a marketer day by day, I probably won't take much of an interest in NB, other than keep a watchful eye for my original work.

With so much of the market in member pay sites and VOD, I just don't know if there's enough cashback from NB to grab my attention.

I guess not just by videos ssales.. NB could be cool on multi levels from dildos.. to personal adult items .. I mean other than video sales or sites sales.. I think a lot more people would use something like NB if they knew it exsisted a lot of people I talk to dont even know what the fuck it is and then when I tell them they wanna join and participate.. I just find a lot that people seemed to be super interested they just dont know where to go.. and the bad thing is.. if they do find out where to go.. it is not going to be all that it could be and more .. I just dont think it the best representation of what it tried to be.. :thumbsup:

Naughtybids is a great traffic source. The majority of the DVDs sold are the less expensive but high profit studios. The high end videos usually don't sell but maybe you will get the traffic. They have changed their TOS where you can not sell international videos (get you banned in a heartbeat) you can not sell memberships (once again get you banned) can't sell soiled (LOL) clothing (get you banned) etc. They are the largest porn auction site that is not owned by eBay. They started out extremely small and with the backing bought out all the Gay porn auction sites that had decent traffic.

When PayPal wouldn't let porn to be charged through them they went out to help sellers that didn't have a merchant account, that's why Storm came in play.

There are alot of dups being sold there. According to the webmaster it's up to the studios to police that. Once they find out they will end the auction(s) and if it happens enough they will ban that seller.

Hmmm I dont think there that big yet cause I know a lot of webmasters that have no idea who they are and consumers who are interested in a service like this that dont even they exsist and i talk about this website often and "no i dont know about it" seems to be the biggest anwser.. I still do believe they are not marketed as well as they could be and Im not speaking really about video sales.. It would be better for people like me that they had more adult variety than just videos cause Im not interested in buying low end porn videos from auction sites. It would be cool if they where promoted entirely different so they could get more people to come on there and sell a wider variety of things.. :thumbsup:

NaughtyBids always has attracted the bottom feeders of DVD porn consumers, EXCEPT for clothing items which sell for many times their purchased values.

I used to sell dozens of DVDs per month on NB in the 2002-2004 period, but when the management banned ME because I complained that a seller who had hundreds of listings per day was selling one of my scenes, I couldn't believe the point and purpose of it all.

So while we all have benefitted from VOD from 2004 forward, it still baffles me how after having survived the EBAY purge, and built NB, that NB would bite one of its good sellers (me), and in turn drive focus from DVDs to VOD...

And while we all talk about the decline of DVD sales in the past 6-12 months, there needs to be a DVD renaissance because our VOD customers are cherry picking and still only viewing a few minutes of our 60 minute projects... too bad NB screwed over a good thing they had going for a while with many of us.

They're "Ban" crazy.

And I wish StormPay had stuck in there and ridden the storm Visa caused many merchant processors. PayPals Mature Audiences adult policy reads as being pretty reasonable, but I've not tried it to see how it works in practice, since this time in 2004.

They are the biggest porn auction site not owned by eBay. Whether webmasters or customers have heard of them or not. There are several others that have tried to start up but due to various reasons don't make it, probably a lack of funding to advertise. Traffic is what will make the site grow as the sellers will be there. When the buyers don't show the sellers leave. There marketing does suck, I don't think they do anything to tell you the truth. I guess they rely on search engines for Gay porn auctions to drive buyers there. I'm not a cheerleader for Naughtybids, well I guess I am since I own some of their stock, but they do have a wide variety of adult products. The buyers do seem to be the bottom feeders for low end porn and seems to me that they are after some strange fetishes to me. Soiled thongs, boxers, etc.

HAHA I mean it is like with the rimming/ass niche paysite Im working on I will probably be the only website other than rimminghunks.com to have an authentic rimming ass site that is just solely based on ass and not on dick,cuming or fucking. Naughtybids maybe the biggest but they are not the best and they are literally the only ADULT AUCTION site that is worth going to.. :groovy: ( the site just needs to some major help but like I said this is just my opinion I totally respect everyone elses of course ) I just thought that it would be a golden chance to bring this up and maybe some brilliant webmaster in here would bring something much better and much hotter to the table that would all benefit better.
