I'm not normally this cynical, but I just don't understand *why* people give the time of day to people who have virtually nothing good to offer the world but are shameless attention whores.
The specific thing that has caught my attention is the video of Chris Crocker who, I'm sure that everyone by now has heard, posted this ridiculous, tearful rant about why everyone should leave Britney Spears alone.
It's obvious the guy is seeking attention (he admitted in a news story that the video in question was a "second take", so he was clearly acting for the camera) but what I don't get is why people are stupid enough to give Crocker, or Jeffrey Starr or Gaygod (both Myspace "celebrities" among the under 25 gay boy crowd) or -- for that matter -- Paris Hilton any attention.
All of them are basically talentless people who are dying for attention, and they don't care how ridiculous they look... so why don't people see through that and refuse to buy into it?
