Solo Model Sites.. No Longer 'Solo Model' Sites?

Has anyone else noticed this?

It seems that more and more these days, when someone launches a 'solo' model/guy site, the site itself actually isnt a solo site, instead it features a guy fucking his 'friends' etc, etc?

On the straight side of the industry there are still loads of true solo model sites that dont feature the models fucking anyone, or even having anyone in the shoots with them, do you think this is indicative of gay men not being interested in seeing a solo guy over and over again or do you think that some of the creators of these sites still dont understand the 'concept'?

it is probably more indicative that webmasters are afraid a solo model site won't sell

and btw, although there are a few straight solo model sites that aren't boring, most are extremely repetitious. many make money through the fact that they have 4 - 6 sites networked together that the members get access to, so there's some variety happening there because of the different models. i HAVE seen sites with one model and no one else that are fun, sexy and interesting - but those take a lot of creativity to keep it fresh.

The key here is how you define a solo site. Is that just one model alone jerking off...or is it one model who is the focus of the site?

I think that as long as the model is always there regardless of the theme of the update...solo jerk off, inviting a friend to show up...of an orgy...it is still considered a solo site by definition.

I still consider that a solo model site. Even though there is occasional action on it. He is still the main focus of the site...and who the members pay to see.

Solo site = many different guys jacking off usually alone.

Everytime "Solo Model Sites" is brought up, there is confusion on what it means. Why can't we agree to call it something different?

And to answer the question, hardcore seems to be an easier sell. And if a surfer is fixated on a porn star/model they'll join regardless if it's solo or hardcore. But if you throw in some hardcore action, you'll attract other surfers that may not be that fond of the main model.

do you mean single model sites like josh tucker? yes, if you know how to sell them, they sell well. and if you find one where the model does a weekly live show, they retain great.

if you mean solo jackoff sites, it depends on your traffic. J/O sells well for me

somehow i'm not sure "longboardjim.com" would be as interesting a "single model site" as a "behind the scenes on the sets of longboardjim" site which would probably get more traffic. ( interpreted: who wants to see a 42yr old man..err..who doesn't want more for their money? )

I like to be very creative and put a lot of pride and thought into every shoot.
I agree that a solo site should be just that-a solo site based around one individual present in all the scenes.
