    HEP C Awareness. Sexual EduWHAT?

so I know this is another subject that maybe a little touchy but...
Patty/Basschick brought something up on GWW that I thought was interesting and I just didnt really understand why it doesnt get as much press as HIV..

    ((((((((((((((( HEP C )))))))))))))))))

I have recently found out.. That Hep C used to be thought that it could only be passed by blood and needles.. I went down to the HIV clinic where I volunteer and asked one of the doctors that drives in from atlanta to see if that was true.. He told me that HEP C is commonly mistaken to be thought to be only passed by blood/needles and he said the more they learn about HEP C they find out this is not true and can be tranmitted through SEMEN and using the same straw throught the nose when using drugs and other ways..

    He also said:
Hep C has alot more complications than HIV at this point and is much more fatal is not treated right.. Also he told me HEP C is harder to treat because it attackes the liver and if someone has a lot of liver damage from drinking etc.. depending on what type of HEP C they get chronic or type 1 or 2 it could be really bad..

SO WHY DOES SOMETHING SO DANGEROUS AND SOMETHING THAT IS SPREADING LIKE WILD FIRE NOT GETTING AS MUCH PRESS??? I just dont understand this.. Awareness is so important and it seems to me SEXUAL EDUCATION has went to shit here in AMERICA and something needs to be done about it..

This is not just a HEP C thing either he gave me a list and explained to me numerous other things as welll that freaked me out..

He also went on to tell me the CDC has a list of over 30 STDS that are unidentified (( now isnt that scary )) he also said that list could be bigger or smaller now..

One of my biggest projects I think Im going to take on is a SEXUAL EDUCATION/ STD AWARENESS WEBSITE AND PROGRAM.. If anyone wants to help me brainstorm some ideas that would be great cause.. I may not be able to help much but the more that is put out there the better.. We as the adult community that deals in sex really should tackle this and put things up about it in our websites and videos in the beginning or the end..

    Dont you think??
I really think we have the potentially as the adult community to have one of the biggest impacts over anyones else.. That is a power I think we have over everyone else.. So Im going to take the intiative, use that power and do something with it..

Why not use your time to promote the awareness of sites already in existence?

Sites with full std information and medical facts listed in a non traffic scamming, non porn marketing manner?

    Maybe something like:
    http://www.lapublichealth.org/std/
    http://www.phac-aspc.gc.ca/std-mts/index.html
    http://www.arlingtonva.us/Department...licHealth.aspx

the list could go on and on and on

Another website is just another website.

Thats actually a better idea haha thanks.. LOL
I really want to promote them through some of my adult work as well but I dont know if they would want that.. That is why I sorta was thinking doing my own thing.. Like putting a sexual awareness clip in the beginning of the videos Im going to be releasing or in the videos of my paysites or sexual awareness segments on my blog etc.. etc..

If you attach it to your program - don't link, push, talk about your program. The point is lost in that it's just a tasteless marketing scam with an industry hot topic.

But I'm all for people doing it up! If you produce DVD's - maybe make it a bonus chapter where the viewer can see "how to put on a condom" "how to give oral with a condom" "how to put a condom onto a partner" and "tips to make the condom feel more natural without compromising the latex"

You can be informative without pushing your brand. That's all I'm saying.

Yeah I totally agree. I dont wanna push it in peoples face and adding it as an extra is a great idea so the consumer has the choice to watch it or not. I just wanna make sure I put the message out in some way the my company is looking out for our models and there consumers, readers, subscribers etc.. I think some will really appreciate it and it will send a good message about what we are about..Thanks Idol.. your a big help..

Madame Knows has always had a link catagory titled Health & Well Being and I've added http://www.lapublichealth.org/std/ to the list.

Hep C is always a risk, when you play risky. Even non-sexual play can be the cause.
