Where Have All The Designers Gone?

This time last year there were (what seemed like) hundreds of designers looking for work, now it would appear they have either all vanished or are all extremely busy (some quoting 3 months to finish 1 site :eek.

Have they all realized that trying to undercut one another just doesnt make good business sense or are they all really busy and not needing new clients?

I dont think i have ever had this much trouble trying to find a designer to do 10 new paysites :eek:

I think with the current credit crunch and the downturn in the economy, they probably got inbound telemarketing customer service jobs at the nearest big city in India.

Or they went to the mainstream market of design and get paid a more realistic amount on design work.

Yeah, every consultant thinks working for a porn company is worth 2x-3x a nominal rate.

And instead of then lowering their rate, better to go elsewhere with their tails between their legs.
