Are surfers design nazis?

Ok, This may sound tripe but I am a design nazi. I have always been a design nazi. By that, I mean...

And I'll use Asian as the example because I'm messing around with an asian themed design at the moment.

If you have Japanese content but your tour design has a lot of golden dragons, do you think surfers take note that gold dragons are mainly a Chinese thing?

Or if you use a lot of gold and jade in the design, that this too is more of a Chinese, Thai design?

Or even the verse, If you have a Thai site and your designs have Gate dogs, does the surfer pick this out?

It's something I see in a lot of work, where the overall layout is way confused by the theme of the content and I don't think it's just me. But wanted to ask.

I think the more niche you go...the more you have to know your customer. That means the small nuances that you mention have to be, or should be, correct. There will always be the masses that don't pickup on it and just want the porn....but the most loyal customers will be those who feel that you understand the differences between Chinese, Thai, Japanese men.

But to answer your question, Yes and No. In the asian market it's really about color. There are a few colors that really work.

Just don't do what Platinum Bucks did a few years ago and put Buddha in the tour. In some cultures like Thailand, Buddha's image is more highly worshiped than in other Buddhists cultures.

Thanks for the offer but there will be no hitting as I don't need help on it. over half of my family is Philippine and I have been to many an Asian land. I have a bit of the first hand account.

Was mainly an observation question.

i don't think anyone notices what might be incorrect culturally about a design if the porn they're looking for on the site is good.

Ok. Then to answer your original question, I don't think surfers catch what you are asking.

I have seen a thai site use a logo that had japanese in the background as text. It still sold well. Porn surfers imho opinion look more for a color scheme that fits the niche versus small details about the culture.

Hell, one asian paysite that promises Japanese boys has primarily Thai boys. I don't even know if surfers notice.

Yeah, could you imagine a porn site with a pic of Jesus looking down on wanking guys? While some would find that funny there are still a lot of people who like porn that are deeply religious and that would really freak a lot of people out.

Yeah. I am Buddhist and when they first released that site, they had Buddha on the main tour. They were actually very responsive in removing it.
