The day after Fall From Grace airs on Showtime.

I saw this trailer last night on Showtime and im definately going to be tuning in to see the documentary.

He's gonna piss so many people off after they watch this program its going to be unreal.

You know, while this guy really pisses me off with his gay bashing hate america talk, the part that really gets to me is these little kids spouting off the same hate, that at their young age, they don't know, and shouldn't know anything about. This reminds me sorta of the movie Jesus Camp, and its just child abuse.

That movie Jesus Camp was downright disturbing.

Seeing those kids being fed all those talking points. Seeing those kids praying to a cardboard cut out of George W Bush. Seeing those kids being told that they don't have to worry about Global Warming since Jesus is going to come and take them all to Heaven pretty soon anyway.

Seeing that fat old woman yelling at the kids for liking Harry Potter and wearing makeup.

However... I think that how Fred Phelps and his whole family are going down is going to be just like Waco. They'll lock themselves in the compound and commit group suicide. Soon, I hope.

You know maybe Phelps helps our cause in a very bizarre way. He hates us, and hates America. So he is grouping gay people with the entire United States. Maybe just maybe Americans will realise what its like to be a victim of a hate campaign.

I think he makes things worse.

He allows Dubya and the Republicans to claim the middle ground on the issue. He makes it possible for Anne Coulter to say "I dont' hate gays.. you dont' see me walking through the streets saying GOD HATES FAGS. I just think they shouldn't have any rights at all and should be sent to doctors to be cured."

C'mon don't lump all republicans into the same class. Just as you probably wouldn't lump all black people, gays, <insert stereo type here> into the same class. Some of us republicans are only republicans because we lean a little more towards the right than the left and there are no other choices. It all comes down to making educated decisions and thats it. People need to stop believing what they see on TV and actually do research for themselves. I can find just as much dirt on Democratic candidates as I can republicans right now. They are all pretty much money / power hungry shitbags imho yet the porn industry tends to lean left , which blows my mind too, but I digress.

Stereotype much? Glad to see you think logically and outside party lines. Anyone who knows me knows that I am not any of those things. I don't think its up to ME to make any changes, I believe what I believe and I vote along those lines, that is where I make my voice heard. I work in the gay industry and most of my friends are gay. I don't go to church or believe in god. I have my own reasons for leaning right more than left. IMHO it's the thought processes like this that cause problems. You are no less fanatical than the guy you are complaining about.

Hey man.. you can vote for whomever you want. I'm Canadian and the "Liberal Party of Canda" is a centerist party.

I certainly didn't say I'd vote for any Democrat to come along.

Just that so far, this administration's platform is.. well.. not in line with what I think to be rational thought.

And hey.. many of my friends are gay too. Go figure.

Well in the US we have 2 choices, if there was a good Libertarian candidate I would probably vote for him. Do I agree with everything GW has done in his presidency? Hell no. Do I agree with democrats? Hell No. My point was to simply state that fanaticism is crazy regardless of what you believe. The idea is to teach our kids and public to forumlate their own thoughts. Anyone who votes along party lines and lumps people all together is no less fanatical than a kkk member etc., imho.

All we can do is vote and hope for change, but until all of us as a people stand up for what we believe in and pull our heads out of our asses., then things will never change. The same goes for any country, not just the US.

My point exactly... I just got called a "fanatic" for standing up for my own rights.

Simply being a gay person wanting equal rights in this country makes me the extreme left on this issue... and allows Republicans to claim the middle ground.

I don't understand how any rational person could vote republican. Today's republicans do not hold the values of what we traditionally think their values to be. Do they really believe in small/efficient government, low taxes, fiscal responsibility and states rights? REALLY?! Today's republican are strictly pro-corporation, gay-bashing, rascist, sexist, anti-abortion, civil rights-hating, lying, deceitful, christian extremist-seducing, fascist war mongers... nothing more.

Bill Clinton was a great republican president. Yes, I know he is a democrat but Clinton democrats are more of what we think of when we think of traditional republicans. We had a balanced budget and a tax surplus under his presidency. During the Bush Adminstration and under a republican controlled congress, we went from actually paying down our national debt to giving tax breaks to the wealthy and fighting an outrageously expensive and unnecessary war. We further enriched the oil industry and defense contractors while more and more american corporations moved to 3rd world countries. And the dollar has lost 40% of it's value compared to the Euro.

We are headed for economic collapse in the next few years because of the irresponsiblity of the republican party. Our environment is also collapsing faster than anyone could have envisioned just a decade ago. And republicans are lulled by the christian extremist agenda and could give a shit. The rapture is coming soon anyways, so why worry?

The power will shift soon enough. My only regret is that we don't have a truly liberal party to represent us anymore. Your only real choice in the voting booth is between the extreme right wing (republicans) and the not-so-extreme right wing (democrats). We are fucked!

The sad thing is, most people in the US today dont realize that what Clinton did was a Republican thing because both parties have shifted so much from their original core beleifs over the past 12 years
