what makes a good 404 page

I assume it's site type specific but maybe that can be pointed out as well.

IE: Blog with 100% affiliate content would probably use a 404 with a link back to the blog and a load of sponsor banners.

A page that filters traffic to $1 trials in various niches. 404 traffic only does well with cheap porn

I did well with big text saying "this page cant be found, have some free porn instead" then linking to fhg's. I think it worked because surfers saw free porn and stopped to look.

$1 Trials are 80% of my revenue now. I HOPE he showed you how I was doing it. Just sending to a dollar tour doesn't work.

But if you are doing a 404 page.... Hehehe. You get the idea!
