My 2 cents: If you darked the page bg (like you did on the first example) I think the content would "pop" better.

The 2nd link looks so boring and sooo 1990's. But take the video from the 2nd link and add it to the first link, then you will have a weenier! :gaydays:
Second one. More suitable for your niche I think. But do the darker bg like skaterkid suggested.
