It would be shot from a perspective of a woman, so might not fit the Gay community, though I think we could fit both somewhere.

So what's your thought and advice?

I'm not sure if you're looking for suggestions on what gay men are looking for or not. But, here are some of my thoughts.

The problem with most solo guy shoots is that guys are cock centered. They don't seem to know that there are other parts of their bodies that feel good, and it turns gay men on to see them.

I love watching guys pump their muscles, massage their biceps, that sort of thing.

Smelling their armpits is hot.

If a guy has foreskin, get him to play with it. It drives me nuts. But most uncut guys seem to ignore their foreskin in shoots.

Get them to wrap their fists around their balls and show us how big they air.

And I love feet. Get the guy on the bed, put the photographer at the foot of the bed shooting up past the soles of his feet while the guy holds up his cock. Drives me nuts every time.

I really don't see how a woman shooting a man wouldn't be appealing to gay men. A guy snorting a pair of women's underwear might not turn me on, but if he's just posing and jacking off, I'd be into it.

I've been told that to sell solo videos on DVD you need to make it 10-12 scenes, and stress that the customer is getting a lot for their money. If a movie with fucking is 60-75 minutes, a solo movie needs to be 90-120 minutes.

if you have women shooting the vids/pics, there's no reason they won't show the models' sexiness and personalties very well. after all, there are some for women sites out there.

The idea is to cut it at the point it gets too hot, nice long lead in and middle. Porn at the end and we cut it there. Then continue on.

That matches both our experience and what we've been told by several different distributors and retailers large and small. Though most of our hardcore DVDs are longer (70-90 minutes) we would still if we were going to do a solo DVD want to put a large number of scenes on it, and even then, it will not sell as well as a DVD with a mix of solo and hardcore or all hardcore.

I would agree. If you have exceptionally cute models, most of whom are genuinely straight, I think people will pay extra for that.

My experience with the DVD market is limited to Teens and straight hardcore but this is it. The DVD buyer, both shop and consumer are far more loyal to a brand than Internet porn consumers. Might be because all the DVD shoes is a few pictures on the box. So when a customer finds one that keeps it's promises he buys the next in the series. Not 100% but often enough.

Which is why some companies can afford to spend $100k on a movie and others struggle to make a profit spending $10k.

Our Wolff Nubreed solo muscle series has usually had 4 models per DVD ( solo, muscle worship, JO) but we have recently been putting 8 models on our last 2 releases and for our first installment of our jockbutt DVD series we will have 14 models on the disk. DVD sales are not anywhere near what they were 5 years ago, and i agree these days you really have to stack the deck with quality and quantity if you want to sell solo vids.

Paul, I told you a while ago to shoot more gay / male content on a different forum (cozy maybe?) for a reason!!!! The gay content market is hot due to lack of variety + your photography style is very high quality = win win situation for both you and us.

The only thing you have to remember is to come visit the gay hangouts to keep us updated when new content is available
