When you complete a new DVD do you register the title of the DVDs domain name also?
No particular reason for asking i was just curious to see if this was something you folks did.

Lee

At Raging Stallion we often grab URLs that can be associated with a movie. Normally, however, we only do this on our giant blockbuster releases. RSS releases a new movie every seven days all year long, so it would be overwhelming (and pointless) to build sites for each and every movie. Our new megamovie, GRUNTS, for example has its own site (GRUNTSTHEMOVIE.COM).
Yes we tend to register the movie name if it's available. For example when we released Raw Retreat the url wasn't available. We grabbed www.rawretreatthemovie.com For our film Hung House Husbands it was available so we grabbed www.hunghousehusbands.com
We create little mini site which contains photos, descriptions and a video clip and then the site channels them to our primary site to purchase or to see more.
As far as copyrights are concerned, yes, we send everything to the U.S. Copyright Office and get a "PA" number for every film. It's the only way you can obtain punitive damages in an infringement suit.
Works good for us.
