Why do companies do this without at least asking for some advice first and more importantly, why do they pay for ad space when their sites arent even working, shouldnt the company they have purchased ad space of have some common decency and let their advertising clients know that they will be wasting their money, promoting a program that isnt even working yet?

Tell us Lee, what other clueless studios out there have affiliate programs? :-)

Give them time, they will get better. It looks like Eurocreme is doing a readjustment of their web department considering they have been seeking out a new web marketing manger I think.

i see LOTS of clueless paysites - it's my job, both as a consultant and as a reviewer

i did a re-review of a site recently. since i last saw their member area around two years ago, they had hired a new manager who managed to make their member area much more confusing and annoying than it had been previously - but at least the videos were still sort of small and low quality

Stephen over there at Eurocreme is a very sharp business man and I am very certain this will all be sorted out in very short order.

Looks like they are trying to do a custom NATS installation and they got sidetracked about halfway through ....

Actually, EuroCreme is HUGE - they are the largest gay DVD producers in Europe. I know the guys working on this site and I am guessing the affiliate program is not done yet, because I know that when they do hit the market they will be hitting it big time and will immediately be competing on the level of some very large companies.

Whether they got side-tracked, forgot about the site, whatever, WHY are they buying ad space promoting it, when it clearly isnt finished?

Shouldnt the company who they are buying ad space from have told them not to bother until the site was completed?

Sorry, but I have to agree.

Although Fratcash's site has been known to have the odd dead link or missing thumbnail, there's no way a whole site should ever have been launched like that.

When every page says something along the lines of "Fill in text for your template" you know that your service is going to be just as much of a rubber-stamp as their site.

It's really half-assed to just buy a template, fill in a few links and then only make the sign-up page work.

I don't know the company but it would seem this is just yet another company that thinks the adult industry is for lazy people who don't have any pride in their work.

Have to disagree with you here...

Eurocreme is far from lazy and they have enormous pride in their work.
One of the most go get 'em gay porn companies around the world, and the quality of their product is their pride.

This company launches huge marketing campaigns in europe for their DVD launches, they own a distribution company in both the USA and Europe, they are managing the production of a self contained VOD operation, they run a very successful retail website, not to mention the their many DVD lines they produce.

It's likely that something went off track (like the loss of the person who was managing this project )that was unforseen but certainly not because they are lazy or don't know what they are doing.

Why not slapping a password protection in front of the sucker and testing it this way?
