slidehow needed that pulls from a directory

trying to find a php or asp or even flash slideshow script that can be dropped into a directory or pointed to a directory and will index and display the jpgs in that directory without me having to type every photo into a list or database..
    any help would be great.

There is a way to do this with php. Can you show me a example of what you are looking for?

i add a new gallery each week, i put these into separate directory. < would like to be abel to have a peice of code the displays the contents of a directory as a slideshow by reading all the names of the files in there and displaying them 1 by 1. in the code calling the display page i would probably have an identifier like

index.php?directory=d1 so the code knows that directory to look in

We have a Flash Image Rotator in CCBTools, it does not pull from a directory but I am sure with some minor customization we can make that happen please hit me up when you have a moment!

    We did it

Have a look at one of the public AVS sets on one of our sites (try nakelondonboys.co.uk and then select public sets). When you get to the gallery you will see a slide show option. All our sites are database driven and we wrtoe a quite sophisticated slide show page using AJAX giving the view the ability to change times, start stop etc.
