Today I'm killing time and checking my flock, and finding that www.adultrental.com is giving away free demos of my movies - not just 56K dialup free demos, but 5 different speeds of free demos!

I AM SO MAD!

Free demos is theft of content, theft of intellectual property, theft of copyright, and pirating!

If you are a producer selling your content on www.adultrental.com, you may or may not know that this is happening.

I've sent them a Cease and Desist e-mail, but of course it is a Saturday, and people like that who don't have to work for a living like us, are not attentive to customer service on weekends.

I've caught other VOD providers with free demo links on my movies' pages, and once they were shut off, my revenue increased.

www.adultrental.com better hope we don't have to sic Chad on their sorry ass.

Nick- Lesson learned....make sure your contract specifies what the vendor can and cannot do with your content. We always include a clause that limits the type and amount of our content that can be used for trailers or promos without our written consent.

You are wrong - treading upon studios by putting a flawed corporate strategy in place without consultation, advice and consent of the studios.

MBA degree programs do not teach gay porn. Never talk to a gay porn producer - or webmaster - in MBA speak.

You are wrong thinking and pretending that other VOD providers do as you are doing.

It is a very flawed psychology / psychological behavior to project your flawed strategies and behaviors onto much more successful companies...

Since you pay studios a smaller percentage of earned revenue, the studio is always going to be more important than you.

You did NOT read my post. You have free demo buttons on each movie moreinfo page. Not just ONE play demo button, but FOUR play demo buttons - from low speed to medium, high and Ultra 1!!!

With anything male in video - once you've given the customer a look at the male model's dick, there's no reason for the customer to pay for it! It's BEEN THERE, DONE IT, NEXT! Ever heard of the term "over exposed"? That's what happens every time a male model is shown - exposure, and there is a diminishing point of return for each and every time a male model is exposed to the same customer.

Today I learn that there is NOT one gay employee at AdultRental. No wonder! Giving away a male model's dick is NOT marketing - it is simply giving it away, for no benefit to anyone other than the mooching free porn surfer.

And, marketing comes with a cost. If you buy an ad in a magazine or on a website and pay for it, you can pay studios for free demos given to surfers. All free demo passes, or free plays of movies can be tracked... and the studio must be paid for all minutes that a movie is played.

VOD Sources other than Adult Rental have tried the method of giving away FREE DICK. It does not work.

Again, I've said this before.... Why should someone pay when they can PREVIEW all of the free dick they want.

My main focus with the site is converting traffic and assisting affiliates. Not so much dealing with studios.
With that being said, when it comes to sales and marketing techniques. We convert traffic on the "try before you buy" sales method. In general, people are skeptical of things they buy online. We feel that allowing our users to have 15 minutes free, we will gain their trust in our site.

AEBN may be the global provider, but who comes into a market with the exact same product as everyone else?

We tried do things a little different than them. We stream movies faster, we offer higher payouts at 35% for webmasters. We are the only VOD provider to offer $35pps.

However, I see your point. We're always working on improving our conversion ratios.

If you found a 1 minute clip, it's an error please send me the link. I'll see about getting it removed.

We don't produce the videos, if you see a hot clip that would make a great promo or teaser (without showing dick) please flag it for us. We warmly welcome any studio recomended clips or tralers.

Honestly, I don't think a 15 second review clip is that big of a deal. MGPs have been giving them away for years, and tube sites have surfers used to much longer clips. To me, its perfectly acceptable to give away some of the content as a preview. Just my opinion though.
