Do You Prefer Raised Payouts Or 'Prizes'?

When it comes to sponsors offering incentives to promote their programs, are you more likely to send more traffic with raised payouts, or if you will be sent some kind of 'prize' for making sales?

Does it really matter to you at all?

If you were given a choice between raised payouts or gifts, what would you prefer sponsors to offer as an incentive?

Raised payouts, as it would be for everyone, the big, the medium, and the small... so more attractive to those who struggle with affiliate marketing.

Prizes seem to be geared to the big sellers more, leaving the little guy out, adding to their 'i'll get around to pushing them later' mantra.

But hey, ideally I'd like to see a site that has better conversion with more of everything, all done in the best possible manner, such as High Res pics, videos, and not overblown free crap floating around, but hey, I do a lot of dreaming while typing too...

Seriously, higher payouts if a choice.

Most often I see that raised payouts are for a certain day or weekend that do not fit into our ad schedules.

Raised payouts are more of an incentive. mo' money, mo' money, mo' money...not some trinket that many of us will not even want.

are you talking about bonus days when you say raised payouts or permanently raised payouts? 'cause i don't see perm raised payouts and prizes as being the same situation unless you're talking about a reward points situation.

For me allot depends on the program. If that program was a decent converter it would be advantageous to keep that ad up for our normal ad duration period of one week. If that program was not so good at converting I would dedicate the ad space only for the bonus payout period. Let's say someone ran a Sunday Bonus Payout day. That means my ass has to work Saturday at MIDNIGHT to change the ad and then Monday morning again to change it back. So it's twice as much work. Let's not even talk about time zones where my 24 hour period is different than their 24 hours. If you change the ad Friday day then again Monday morning that 24 hours becomes like 50 hours of prime time. I can only speak for myself but like I said above I would much prefer a sponsor telling me "Send us 150 NEW joins in March and you get blah..blah...blah...". Didn't Hunk Money just do something like that with IPhones. Mostly if it is a one day bonus payout we take a pass.
