It's true, one of the house guests on "Big Brother 9" should have put gay porn star as his career. James, who is playing the game as a straight man, evidently has credits under his belt for acting in videos that are now going to be released by Dirty Boy Video.

The gay porn distribution company is going to debut the videos starring "Big Brother's" James on Wednesday. Here's the promo pic:

You know, it's funny... we in the industry need models, like models, work with and make friends with models but it seems that sometimes we act just like people who get all giggly around porn when one of our models shows up on a mainstream TV show.

First, can I just say, that I am a HUGE Big Brother fan.

That being said, since the theme of this season has been romance, and match making and playing with relationships and stuff, They have a handsome gay couple in the house this season and I think they wanted to spice things up and see if one of the "straight guys" would get a little bi curious. Honestly I thought Parker would've gone gay first.

Doesn't this kind of thing happen in Europe all the time on reality TV anyway though?

When one of my models was on MTV quite often, then an MTV series, I promoted him as "as seen on MTV" It wasn't a big deal as I was the one who introduced him to my connection at MTV at the time.

I think it depends on your relationship with the model and if you're trying to be destructive and make a quick buck etc.

Well with "Crazy James," the mainstream media was the one to dig up the dirt on him. It is not like Dirty Boy Video sent a copy to CBS and said look. I think that once the word spreads to the public, it is ok to capitalize on it. As long as your not the one who started the whole rumor and coverage.

OK.. we've had MANY of our guys on MTV shows and reality shows.

I've never used it in any marketing and never tipped off the affiliates. I'm not entirely sure why. But
I think that when one of our guys showed up on "I Love New York" it really turned my stomach the way that the straight bloggers acted. They called him "The gayest of the gay" or "A big closet homo" and "a faggot."

We're a fucking solo site. How does being on a solo site make him "the gayest of the gay?" The model was a nice guy and straight.. I didn't see any reason to join in with that "HA HA GOTCHA!!!!" mentality that I saw on those blogs and forum posts.

They went on and on about his "gay porn past" like..

a) being in a solo adult movie makes you gay.

b) being gay is something to be ashamed of.

c) they'd caught him in some TOTALLY humiliating and de-humanizing act.



They, like all the fuck-wits of the Internet, took it as license to dog on him and the gay community along with him. As if seeing a hot man who'd pose naked makes it ok to print things like "He's a big fucking faggot and I hope he dies slowly of Ass Rot and AIDS like the cum pig that he is."

The whole thing made me feel dirty just to read.

Fratmen, in case you didn't know, is a rather classy, mostly-solo site that features hot men. I didn't see any gain in trying to roll around in the muck just for a few more morbidly curious members, and any traffic we got from posts accusing him of being "the gayest of the gay" was just going to result in chargebacks when they saw that he was just posing naked in a room by himself.

I've said it a hundred times... I can't shave with my eyes closed so I have to look at myself in the mirror every morning. I have to make a few decisions that might lower the bottom line but make me feel good about what it is that we do.

It's really refreshing to see somebody (Jasun) in the industry make those sorts of points, and operate a business with that sort of thinking in mind.

I think we all have to balance ethics and morality against the almighty buck, and we all do it every day. Hard to call any of those decisions as absolutely right or wrong as I see it -- it's individual for each person and what they are OK or not OK with.

But I tend to lean in the direction that Jasun does, and I try as best I can to think about not just what's good for my company, but balancing that with what's good for the communty or the model(s).

I'm noticing more and more companies that have either always felt that way and just becoming vocal about it, or are moving in that direction. And it's a nice feeling.

I should point out that I'm not dogging Dirtyboy for their decision to promote a star's involvement on their site.

Promoting a site like DirtyBoyVideo is obviously a lot different than promoting a site like Fratmen. In that photoshoot, the guys are obviously enjoying being "dirty" and there's an air of "Finger in your face" about the whole photo shoot.

My decision not to promote our guys' appearances on shows like "Parental Control" or "Next" or "I want to date that Skank that Flava Flav dumped" is more about not really seeing a "plus" side to the attention.

If our site was more like DirtyBoy and our model was more like "James" (who it would seem loves the attention and likes to be dirty), I might do things differently.

I haven't seen DirtyBoy play the "GOTCHA" card, either. There's no :haha: aspect to their marketing of his involvement on their site. They say, rightly so, that he's hot.. the movie's hot and that he's got a big dick.
