Replying to peoples threads on all the boards and just putting in a list of refferal codes for several programs?

Im seriously considering having Duggy do this for a month or two just to see how much these referral code spammers actually do make from trawling the various industry boards to get their link codes seen.

Could be an interesting insight in to board spamming LOL

when i worked at it a little - read boardtracker every day, used a refcode whenever making a recommendation, i made around $1200 a month by referring webmasters to programs i really do like, but i never made over $2000 in a month so we're not talking the big bucks.

on the other hand, the programs with good quality recurring billing sites are the ones that we ultimately made the most with. i don't think i'd have been as successful at this if i had spammed the bigger pay per sale programs, because most people really are already signed up and also because frankly they didn't sell as well for me as the programs i recommended.

I agree with you about the larger PPS programs, you'd pretty much have to be on the first stages of a new PPS program opening in order to make any referral $$ from those yet it seems several people across the industry still try touting the wares of PPS programs whenever they get a chance to drop an affiliate code.

To be honest, I post on boards more to network and get to know people in the industry than I do to get my sig seen.

I also tend to post on boards more for fun. I honestly doubt my acerbic wit has won me that many affiliates. OK, maybe a couple.

I obviously have a sig so if my boss asks me why I'm here so much I have a reason.
