Now I know How My Parents Felt!

I am in the process of getting the house and the boys ready for me to be gone for seven whole days! For those of you that don't know, I am the house manager for the Tampa site of collegeboyslive.com as well as the Marketing Director. The boys have never been on their own for more than a night or two and I am stressing BIG TIME! I know they are young adults and have lived on their own before moving in here, but these are my "kids" and they have issues! LOL Half the time I can't even take a shower without someone coming in to tell me that something has "happened" to the chat cam screen and they can't get chat to come up, or a cam is down or this light burnt out or so and so ate my last pop tart. I just know that the cell phone is going to be blowing up every ten minutes from the time we take off until the time we land back in Florida no matter how prepared I get these guys! Does anyone with kids or with other people left in charge of your business when you travel go through this same silliness? I feel like calling my mom and telling her sorry for scaring the crap out of her all those years!

    Hehe,

I bet its fun to hear the stories when you get back... Oh, and call your mom telling her how sorry you are - I did it once when my partner didn't get back the time he said but like 4 hrs later and when I was a big pile of useless whining shit
    :-D

Oh precious .. a gay man - keeping order over other gay men? That's a tall order. I think one of the most successful examples of good managment is Jasun. Athough I'm not privy to his methods - he would be a fine person for you to have a beer with. SO Easy on the eyes too! :glasses:

Hit us up - we have a logical theory on how to run a 24/7 cam house - to kick around fer grins.

    Raising kids ain't easy man!

Yes, you know that parents really do a LOT of SHIT!

I never want to do that...

But I sort of admire those who do (like my straight brother)!!

Jasun is VERY easy on the eyes and I agree, I like his style as well. Only question is, do the same principles apply to gay men living together as Str8 men living together. I'll have to see if I can spend some "quality" time with Jasun discussing such matters. LOL

    About that...

I have two house mates, whom I adore - they're my best friends. That being said...

I cook, unless I want mac&cheese or faux mashed potatoes.
I do dishes, because if I don't, we wouldn't have a -single- fork or glass or plate clean in the entire house.
I clean the living room and office and library, because if I didn't... Well.. yeah.

I now understand the frustration of my mother yelling at me that she cleans the rest of the house - my sister and I can at least clean our own rooms. I may not have children, but I think I'm putting in 'training time' anyway.

At least cleaning lets me vent frustration. I never thought scrubbing dishes or mopping floors could be so Zen.

Chaz - You can always do what any good parent does... Pawn your children off on the Grandparents so they get spoiled while you're away. .

The Navy fixed what I couldn't Train into my Son. SO very weird to swap ironing tips with the mankid.

    Buah-hahahaha

My mother wouldn't let me even -see- her iron for about ten years after I decided it would be neat to see if I could make red steam come out of her brand-new $50.00 iron. (By way of cherry koolaide)

Needless to say, there wasn't so much red steam as there was red dribbles that quickly sizzled and turned into crystalized sugar that ruined the iron.

A switching and verbal lashing later, I was terrified to even go anywhere near the laundry room. Since I moved out, I've slowly begun learning the art of cleaning clothes. I can use starch on my black dress shirts when I iron them, without them turning white now!:shades:

grounded is probably the operative word here. if they make enough money and like being there enough, taking away privileges when they do something that interferes with others - whether it means they are interfering with someone else's property, phone calls or whatever - might be the way to go.
