    Multiple IP's

I am in the process of setting up the first 70 blogs in a 300 blog network. I requested my host, natnet set up 15 ip's for teh project and I got this message in response:

"As you may or may not know, ARIN (the organization responsible for allocating IP addresses) states that there are enough IP addresses to last about 3 years or so. Therefore, they are asking everyone to do their part to conserve. Search engine is not considered proper justification because search engines are certainly smart enough to figure out that the IP addresses are on the same server and belong to the same person."

Just wondering why you guys think about what they are saying regarding SE's??

Well I heard many different opinions on this topic but I'm pretty sure it does matter and google won't be able to track if all blogs belong together somehow if you use different IP's and a link structure that is not AB linking only.

And IP's are cheap so we decided to buy 15 more and split the blogs on them. Better try everything to make the SEO as good as possible.

I'm no SEO guru, just my thoughts about that....

We've learned all of our search engine guru from Lisa at Badpuppy. She would probably be the best person to talk to about that.

There are VASTLY different opinions on this. It's mostly the hosting companies that tell you it doesn't matter.

NatNet is a pain in the ass to get multiple ip's from. I try and setup my sites on different ips spread across different ip ranges.

After explaining that in my experience different ip's helps with SE's, natnet hooked me up! Solid support
