Pirates give out copies of content and URLS to websites where illegal content can be found.

To score a point for the good side, here is a form letter for the owners of copyrighted material to send to RapidShare or other site where your content is found. Rapid Share takes stuff down without sending any response, but if you get the stuff down the links on the blogs don't work. It is not "mission accomplished" but it frustrates the little bastards.

I have a similar letter I sent to the file sharing companies. I swear Rapidshare knows me by name. LOL! I figure it this way. If you get a blog closed, the owner will just start another blog. And that blog will run and run until you find it and go through all the hassles of shutting it down again and then it all happens again. This way, the bloggers keep going but every time they post a link, I get it pulled. It's like they're trying to light candles on a birthday cake and I blow them out before they can get them all lit. Like Chad said, it doesn't stop things but it does annoy the fuck out of them.

Man, I remember when I spent a whole day sending out those letters.

I must have gotten 100 pirated Fratmen files taken down.

What's really funny is that the "bloggers" don't actually get it that it's us getting the files taken down.. they think it's competing "bloggers."
