When you say you had no luck, do you mean they didn't give you a courtesy response? I'm friendly with both companies and it doesn't sound like the way they normally do business. But it could be that your material is solo, and I think the market is not hot for solo particularly. Do you have their contact info other than e-mails? have you visited the website cocostore? Regarding responses on this website, I just started to contribute this last week or so, so I can't say how well people respond or not. Could be you have a specialized niche that the other forum members don't have much to say about? Freddie

That is why I pay $180 - $220 for a solo. $2000 / 3 = $666 which is ridiculous to pay for a solo, unless it was Ashton Kutcher or Ryan Seachrest - or together.

I would be more interested in non-sexual footage of the guys doing dance or aerobics, shower, than solo JOs...

I've never had a problem getting good money for my twink content, but this was different. It was a gamble. But I came out just fine. I decided to go the non-exclusive route and I've already made my money back.

I guess you didn't see the other thread... rates for solos are all over the map, from $75 to $3500 or more.

Not only is that a reasonable price, it's a very competitive price for good quality content sold exclusively.

There's no solo JO in and of itself worth more than $200.

You want to make the model a cast member... a featured player... a spokesmodel for the site... do some oral/anal scenes under contract for exclusive performances for a year or so... that's far above and beyond 15 minutes of lube and the pay rate a contract player could deservedly earn over time...

Those who pay more than $200 set the model up for future pain of rejection. Once you've set the bar for him, and he's spent the windfall on booze and drugs, he then looks for more big ticket work to keep the high going, and it isn't there; because the really big studios don't want him 'cause he did a solo for you, and the studios who are respectful of the bottom line, won't waste the cash.

And I get a lot of e-mail from those types. Sorry, you're too over exposed.

Glad Steve could get his money back by dividing it up amongst many buyers, thus attesting to the original premise...

You should probably consider relocating to a larger market, where travel considerations are between the model and the Metro Bus... and $200 models with twice those looks are a click away on Craigs two weeks after the rent WAS due.

As the economy slides deeper into recession with $7 gas on the horizon, and the $300 Stimulus Check only making up for the cost of gas, not a porn spree, those twink fantasies will become painful hangovers of days past.

I did my first shoot in 1986. $50 was a lot then, with Ray-Gun economics and all.

Anyone paying a model more than $200 in 2008, isn't coming clean that the expectation will be that the model will soon do bareback work.

Not a logical progression, by any stretch, but it is the next come on offer. The solo JO isn't really about solo JO.
