I need some opinions on our toon header please

Hey guys,

we paid two designers to create a toon header for a gay TGP which is names "Magnum Knights" and has a focus on muscular men.

Now our partner complained about it and says he would hate it and it wouldn't look professional...

The header is supposed to

1. brand the site
2. make the surfer remember it at once when he comes back
3. should look unique and not boring, should be an "eyecatcher" and keep the surfer away from closing the site

Do you think it fits those needs? Does it look unprofessional or is it good?

In my opinion it looks quite good and I was satisfied with the work but maybe I'm wrong so I ask here...

for a TGP header - I quite like it ... and it should do all that you're wanting from it, memorable, branding, etc.

I like it too. As an artist I always enjoy seeing toon banners on sites- even when the sites aren't toon content. Maybe you could put a real image in the open gate area there as a teaser, maybe that would liven it up for your partner?

I like the header. It's definitely unique and memorable. I also like Riot's idea of a real life image in the castle entrance way. Try that and see what your partner thinks then.

Thanks for the ideas guys, do you mean we should place a pic of a muscular guy or maybe a sex scene into the gate? Or a peek view into a room or something like that?

We can try to implement that, not sure if it won't look too busy then

Also please check the first header they created for us, do you think the second one with the shields included and the cloth is better than the first one?

My suggestion would be to keep the photo simple, no "busy" backgrounds, one or two guys at the most. You want it eye catching, yet not to the point of confusion! For Example, my avatar would be wayyyyy too busy for that gateway! LOL

I like it, but personally I would have done something a little different. I am really picky though..but a few things...

The "knights" should be the focus, I think they get lost in the background too much. If it is for a muscle TGP, then I go more for the armored breast plate that has the muscles in them (search "muscle armor" in google images), something like tights with the leather fringe type skirt, and those showing a lot of muscle...these guys just don't give the "muscular knight" guy impression to me.

Yeah thanks for those ideas I also signed up for magnusbucks, they really have cool sites and fhg's. I wonder why I've never seen any of their sites before...
