We'll be up at our place in Berkeley camping out for the long weekend - anyone interested in saying hi, hit us up. Would be fun to meet up with some other webmasters like we do down in LA from time to time...

I really must make an effort to get to this next year.
they reported that there was some 1.2 million people in San Francisco for pride this year. Here are out pictures from SF Pride:

Sorry there isnt many, but after 12 noon we were slammed until we closed at 7pm.
Chris
who reported that?
I find that difficult to believe and erroneous unless you were to add 460,000 visitors (more believable) to the existing population of the city which is roughly 744,000 - 750,000 - the biggest events in the 70's, 80's and 90's only drew crowds in the couple of hundred thousand range although the Chronicle usually reported far less or the number of "participants" and not attendees - that was to keep the numbers down and not scare SF residents...
We have been enjoying ALL the pride celebrations up and down the coast of California including this past weekend's pride festival (on the beach and at the Mission) in San Luis Obispo and next weekend's events in Monterey and Santa Barbara
I liked the big, gay beach party the best with fireworks on the 4th!
It was reported on our local new KCBS 740am here in the SFBAY, I have not seen a final number since the pride weekend. No matter how many people this is our 4th year having a booth there, and I just have to say it sure felt like there was a ton more people there then they past years we were there.
Here is one link on their site I found:

Next year we are hoping to make more of the California pride events. Just hope my staff can handle all the work. .
yeah well... network TV and radio have always been notorious for NOT reporting accurate information - I remember the first couple of "marches" in the mid '70s when it was reported that a few hundred demonstrators had attended the gay march on market street and also a few hundred had done the same in West Hollywood when it was clear that there were tens of thousands in attendance... 1,200,000 million people would barely squeeze into San Francisco much less the civic center...
