    Images vs. Video Clips?

    Hi -- another silly question...

For blogs, have you found it best to primarily show images/image galleries ... or is it better to use video clips ... or a mixture of both?

Currently, for each post highlighting a particular website's update, I use a few large introductory images ... then a click-able image gallery featuring 10-15 pics ... and then (if available) a preview video. But lately I'm thinking that I may be offering the viewer too much ... and should drop the image galleries completely if a preview video is available...

I'm thinking that most people prefer video clips these days.

Besides it takes too friggin' long to do all that work for each and every post!!!

A blog entry should just be a teaser to encourage them to pay to see the rest. Sounds like you're giving too much away.

I only put 2-6 pictures per item, I reduce them to 300 pixels high, and I make each one clickable. If I add a video, I add less pictures.

If you have 12 or 15 pictures available, save some for a second post later.
