Promo Tools You Would Like To See More Of?

So i was wondering, given that im working on a couple of new affiliate programs at the moment, what type of promo tools would you folks like to see more of on the gay side of the business?

Obviously things like free hosted movie and image galleries will be included when i launch one of the new programs later this year but what else would you like to see included in the promo tool area?

Do you use hosted promo tools at all or would you prefer to have control over the stuff you are using to promote a sponsors paysite?

Thats a very long clip to give away for free, i was actually planning on making the flash clips and wmv files no longer than 60 seconds in length and then, was only going to use teaser, no actual 'action' on them.

To be honest, im not that bothered about tube site traffic right now, if people want content for tube sites, they can create it themselves or grab it from movie galleries like they do now.

It wouldnt, 2-3 minutes is enough to get someone off... Especially if you times that by X amount of embedded clips on a site.

If they get off before even seeing the paysite, what possible reason would they have to visit the site, and if they did visit, why would they join?

I dont understand the mindset of, 'give the surfer more free content and raise sales volume' it makes absolutely no sense whatsoever, in any business, not just porn.

Haagen Das, lets you try a small plastic spoonful of their flavors before you buy, they dont give you a triple-scoop in a waffle cone, with sprinkles as a 'sample' i dont see why we should either.

We're in the retail business, not the entertainment business.

Sorry but thats like saying a twink site will outsell a bear site.

You are going to have webmasters flooding the web with 5+ minute videos and we both know that it has nothing to do with the length of a movie clip, but its about the content, the style, the editing.

A 5+ minute clip full of cumshots isnt going to sell/convert a site as well as a 1 minute teaser clip is that actually teasers the surfer to join a site.

There are so many variables when it comes to movie clips, just saying a specific length of clip will outsell another without qualifying what you mean is not going to help anyone in fact, it will do completely the opposite.

You can have a great 5 minute clip with no cumshot that will sell well, for example an intro/interview and then some preliminaries but no cumshots.

I also agree that in general, the market is moving toward 2 minute clips. 60 second clips, as bec said, probably will not work very well if they are competing against 2 or 3 or 5 minute clips elsewhere.

But I will also say that the quality of the clip makes all the difference. A skillfully edited 2 minute clip will outperform a random 5 minute clip taken from a 20 minute scene any day. And, for that matter, a brilliantly edited 60 second clip will outsell a crappy 2 minute clip.

And if the content is crap (ugly models, poor production values, crappy encoding), it doesn't matter if it's 30 seconds or 10 minutes, it's still not going to convert well.

Saying that a 5 minute clip outsells 2-3 times more than a 1 or 2 minute clip is rediculous without qualifying what you mean, all that comment from Lloyd would have done is get webmasters flooding the net with 5+ minute clips expecting to make sales if the comment was left 'as is'.
