Announcing the NEW and IMPROVED Unzipped Blog

Hey guys!

I know it's been forever. Things have been so insane here since we were purchased by Regent Media and moved offices, but we are in the most exciting of times right now. There is SOOO much happening: so many amazing opportunities for us and all kinds of things coming around the bend that I can't go into yet, but it's going to be BIG!

Anyway, just wanted to let you all know about some very exciting news!

We are re-launching the Unzipped Blog with an exciting new look and brand new content.

We will be covering parties and special events, going behind the scenes of even more porn shoots, covering industry news and doing special Internet-exclusive interviews with performers, plus more!

This is an opportunity for everyone to get your newest models covered or any exciting developments you would like us to write about. As an extension of the Unzipped brand, it will include not only editorial, but also exclusive video content and humorous features about the industry that you can't find in the magazine. It will also offer us an opportunity to come onto more sets and feature many more behind-the-scenes features than we could ever fit in the magazine. And, since we'll be covering not only adult industry news but also issues related to gay sexuality, we'll be asking the questions on everyone's minds, like "If I sleep with a guy and then get his number, does that mean I'm not a slut?" and "How fuckable is Tom Palin REALLY?"

We are very excited about the new blog, and we invite you guys to come take a look at it and to offer us any advice or comments you might have. Additionally, if you could, we would truly appreciate it if you could add us to the LINKS section of your own blog. Eventually, once we have built up an extensive backlog of content, we will be expanding into more of an industry portal.

Also, please remember, we WILL be establishing ourselves as an exciting and up-to-the-minute location for breaking news and coverage of industry events, so PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, if you have any tips, please email them to us or call us. We appreciate any scoops you might have!

BY THE WAY, the blog has JUST "soft-launched" last week, so it's still in its earliest stages. The look is also being modified as we go along. We won't be doing a full launch until a bit later in the month, but I wanted to let you know about this in advance while we test it out live. Content is very important, so it's more important (and beneficial to you) than ever to think of us when it comes to places you might think of to pitch things to.

Anyway, that's it for now. I hope you are excited about this new venture for us, and I look forward to hearing any comments you might have and to offering you even more coverage from one of the industry's leading sources for adult entertainment news and coverage.

Hello again, folks,

Man, it's funny how much things can change in just a week and a half or so. But in just that short amount of time, things have been tweaked, re-modified and re-focused with the Unzipped online properties as we attempt to fine-tune them and get them ready for their official re-launch.

We've now decided upon two online properties.

The first, Unzipped, The Blog, will be our top level blog. It won't be an extension of the magazine, but an extension of the Unzipped brand. This is where readers will find stories about issues relevant to today's sexually active gay man, from dating and grooming tips to coverage of national affairs and pop culture. This blog will represent a merging of sex and pop culture in a way that is cheeky, witty and sexy without being X-rated.

Then we've got Unzipped Below the Belt. This will be the extension of the Unzipped magazine, with coverage of the gay adult entertainment industry that allows us to tackle subjects and topics and events that we don't normally cover in the magazine. We go into porn stars' homes to find out what's in their fridges and in their nightstands, and we provide breaking news about new exclusives, behind-the-scenes drama and industry gossip.

Both of these online properties represent a new phase for the newly re-named Unzipped Media group, a property of Regent Media. We're going to be stepping into entirely new areas and extending our brand in exciting and unique new ways. It's a really exciting time to be an employee with the company.

We recently had the first of six publisher's party that we will do each year, and it was a joint effort with RandyBlue that was a lot of fun.
