Is it easy to convert video to flash movies?

For members areas, the only reason I want to do this is because I'm sooooooooo tired of dealing with videos not playing right, Different formats, encoding, codecs, blah blah.

With flash everyone can see everything, just like youtube.
Is it easy to convert any video to flash? or is it difficult to do that?

If you have a large volume of videos to transcode to Flash, you might want to check out Sorenson Squeeze. I think they have a special, stripped-down flash-only version fairly cheap. It uses a good codec, handles large batches (including auto-uploading to your server when encoding is complete) and is simple to use.

I've never used Squeeze but have used Flash Video MX Pro. After a few trial and error sessions, I was able to figure out it's batch encoder too.

MPEG Stream Clip for OSX is free, and does a great job making flash video.
