Hello All

A newbie here. I see gaywidewebmasters is the best known porn discussion forum and I am happy to be here . Hope I can learn a thing or two from you guys. I am going to read many of the old posts here.

To start with, I am basically looking for the source for gay traffic (even if I have to pay) ? especially bareback, chubs, bear, musclemen categories. What is the unanimous choice here ? I have 100 $$ as a monthly budget.

there are many ways to get traffic. you could post galleries to TGPs, post avs sites or free sites to link lists, create your own blog to gain search engine traffic and to trade hits.

honestly $100 isn't going to buy much, but you can try google adwords os pay for a listing on yahoo (i think a year is $49 per page) but both of these options have certain requirements. you can try buying from www.buygaytraffic.com, where i have had good results although not tons of traffic or you could perhaps buy a listing from www.hunkhunter.com depending on your site and niche.

Well, I am part of a VOD company and we have a number of studios working with us providing content. We have very few affiliates who can drive traffic to us. So, I am basically looking for,

- how to source for high traffic afiliates who operate a lot of these blogs, TGPs etc, we can associate with them on revenue share basis and get their traffic.

- secondly, buy 'best possible gay traffic'. Yeah, 100$$ could be a bit less, but once i test the waters, and if the response is good, I dont mind spending a bit more. I'll check out those 2 sites soon.

In what specific niches, did you good decent to good traffic at buygaytraffic -bareback ? chubs ? musclemen ?

I had already thought a bit about google/yahoo...but after a bit of study, I found that its not helping much for porn...and the conversion is not that good..those days are gone...maybe I am wrong.

high traffic affilaites like tgps and mgps will require leak-free free hosted galleries to send their traffic to. then you can get the word out. it wouldn't hurt to offer blog content, as well as RSS feeds.

the big question is if an affiliate makes a sale on revshare, does he "own" that member forever?

whales - the ones who make BIG sales - will want more money and rarely deal revshare.

google adwords and yahoo do great for porn. i can't even imagine why you think otherwise. sure, it's not as good as it used to be and you DO need to know what you're doing, but that's true of any traffic in these competitive times. and considering that yahoo paid inclusion is only $49 per page, if you optimze your pages for SEO, you can't go wrong. it doesn't take much money to make money off $49.

and again, i recommend hunkhunter.com. sure, some categories don't send tons of traffic but what they do send is good for sales and the prices on many categories isn't high. you won't get listed on the new pages for $100 or less, but there are categories you should find useful.

the bottom line is a better tour will make MUCH better sales than a poor one. also something i notice with all the PPV companies is that they list their content by the niches the producer gives for each DVD - and that leads to crap. a DVD with a single sort of muscular guy means producers include the words "muscle" and "bodybuilder" in their titles, so that a DVD that is mostly skinny guys ends up in the muscle section. then when webmasters send their traffic to the muscle section, it converts terribly 'cause the first thing the surfers see is skinny guys or twinks.

and last, list your site on review sites that review PPV sites. if you want to be listed on gaydemon.com, pm me a login and enough time in that account to allow us to view a couple minutes of 7 or 8 videos and as long as your site matches the gaydemon standards, i or one of the other reviewers will get your site listed.
