Suggestions needed

Hey guys!

We're about to launch an adult board for gay surfers and I need some suggestions about which sub-boards to add.

I think it makes sense to only start with a few forums (Like main discussion, Livestyle talk, Hot site's suggestions...) but I have no idea how to split the board and what would make sense. The fact that I'm hetero won't make it easier for me The only thing I'm sure about is that it should focus mainly on adult websites, reviews, popular sites and niches, popular and famous models, upcoming events... that kind of stuff as we plan to make it quite commercial...

We plan to link to the board from all our websites and I hope that we will be able to get the board running soon. I think we might be able to send about 1k surfers to it per day... do you think this might be enough to get it running? So I would be happy about any input on how to configure the board.

Btw. the domain will be GaysTalking.com and we use VBulletin as script.

i'd definitely have a few friends or webmasters seed the board with posts so it won't look too empty. it's a lot harder to get people to sign up on boards that don't have much going on.

sounds like you have a good idea of what forums to have up, although if you're going commercial i can't see the point of lifestyle talk. and if you are gonna have more personal stuff as well as commercial, you could have a hookup board or a board where guys can talk dirty to each other.

after you have some members, you might consider inviting some of the more approachable models from various sites to do scheduled chats on your board.

I thought lifestyle talk might help to make users coming back as there may be a lot of possible topics...

What I plan to do for sure is a paysite and freesite review forum, a "intruduce yourself" forum where I'm gonna start with some fake users, then a forum where we post daily pics of a model and users can rate it, maybe vote for a model of the week... all stuff like that.

I also plan to work together with certain sponsors and give away full memberships as rewards if surfers are quite active or do something to support the board.

Just a few thoughts....

it's important that ALL the forums have posts on them.

my thought is that if you want the board to be commercial, make it about porn, not lifestyle. no sense in getting search engine traffic for those particularly not interested in porn. you may be thinking of boards like justusboys, but keep in mind that they had tons of traffic and an in house staff to help keep it busy - as well as scheduled pornstar chats. of course, staying focus on porn is is just my opinion, but it's based on the concept of targeting traffic.

Yeah I think you're right, let's stick with porn then...

I have the following domains to choose from:

adultgayboard.com
adultgaytalk.com
board4males.com
gaysasking.com
gaystalking.com
maleboard.com

I first wanted to use adultgayboard.com but my (gay) brother convinced me that gaystalking.com would be better because we sent the surfers from porn sites to the board, so they are already targeted and he said that many would maybe like it to not have a porndomain in their history and stuff all the time when they come back. For SEO reasons an adult domain might be better though...

We can still change it, I will think about it...

The only thing that concerns me about gaystalking.com is it could easily be interpreted as "gay stalking" which doesn't sound pleasant. In fact, that was my first read of it when I saw your post.

I think adultgayboard or adultgaytalk are good choices, though
