How Many Of You Are Planning For 2009's Business Growth?

I was wondering if anyone else was already planning their project lists for 2009 at the moment?

The last few days thats pretty much all i have been focused on, getting a couple of new affiliate program concepts in the works for a '09 launch along with finishing up the Tube Tender program getting that ready for full launch early December '08

Have you started your planning for '09 yet and if so, how many of the projects you have planned for do you think realistically you will be able to get launched on time based on your projections right now?

    Regards,

    Lee

My 2009 projected growth is coming from non-adult business.

Yes. The answer is yes we have a plan. It might even be a secret plan. That would mean I cannot post it here. Well, since it is a secret plan of course.

Here is what I can share:

I plan to work with my affiliates to help them do their jobs better.

I plan on growth. Since we went live a few months ago that is not going to be that hard. Right?

I plan on working with others and talking to others to see how we can work with each other to grow.

I plan to look for business opportunities as I have always done despite the state of the economy. I am seeing some of my projects hurt, but I am also seeing lots of opportunities open up. They are out there guys.

Heres A Thought Europeans Billing Europe!

Busy planning our 2009 show schedule and any sponsorships as well -

Quantifying ROI for the at least 1-2 trade shows a month we saw in 2008 - fortunately all shows are good for us - I trace a contract back to the original meeting when attributing/measuring success of an event - how does everyone else determine event ROI and how much emphasis are you putting on marketing for 2009?

My Oct 2008 revenue was 17% higher than Oct 2007.

It was on "average" for the rest of 2008, considering the higher revenues in cold weather months vs hot weather months.

My revenue is a mix of PPV minutes of titles I have produced, webmaster affiliate revenue, and hard DVD sales.

The only difference between Oct 2008 and Oct 2007 partnerships and sales channels, was that my DVD line was dropped by a distributor here on GWW.

    My current ROI is 522%.

By the spring, you'll know JUST what made me give up my perfect gig at Fratmen. What was worth leaving what was one of the most desired jobs in the industry.

We've got something big a brewing.

And yes... it just might include :jasun: in front of the camera. :jasun:

Working on Doing a Much better Job

This new year I have a goal to make more money by pushing hard my paysites. Not sure what next year is going to be like as from what they are saying it is going to be one hell of a slow year. Hope that is not true as I sure don't want to be any slower.

I look at yearly plans every year during my holiday trip to my brother's
house, so that formal written planning, with due dates, will be done soon.

2009 is going to see us hiring a couple more people and making available
some projects we've been working on to better help webmasters be safe
and secure. It might also include a surprising move, like the current
Strongbox version going open source or something. But don't tell anyone.

The Alphared issue forced us to move one 2009 launch to 2008, though,
that being Clonebox. It was already workable, but lacking a user interface
and all. When webmasters hosted at Alphared asked us for help we pushed
Clonebox fast to get it to a point where it was useful to them. Now the plan
is to have a pretty user interface done by the end of the year so that
in 2009 we can get the word out and get people protected.

Also 2009 will be the year for Strongbox 4.0, which has been in development
for a long time. It has some really neat stuff like simple biometrics to tell
who's logging in, system fingerprinting, etc. We're getting much more
sophisticated in who to block and who to allow now, so the challenge for
early 2009 is to make it even simpler and easier for webmasters to use
and understand, despite the sophistication hiding under the hood.
(For example we want webmasters to be better protected by using
quadratic progressions, without needing to have any idea what a
    quadratic progression is).

When Strongbox 4.0 does come out, we have a bit of a problem because
it's advanced so far beyond existing systems including Strongbox 2.3, the
current version. So what shall we do with the Strongbox 2.3 code which
has served so many sites so well for so long? Just trashing it doesn't
seem right. Perhaps we'll make it open source, so people can use it and
if they wish improve it for free. If the people using it free need support
beyond the forums we could do that for a nominal charge. There are also
other ways we could make it free and not even charge for support, such
as a secret idea I have. We'll get those plans firmed up over the next couple
of months, probably with some input from you guys.

Since the relaunch, sales and conversions at TotemCash are up 40% and still climbing.

The novelty product plus the huge increase in quality has really pushed us over the top.

2009 planning includes methods to increase that growth rate and support it technically as well.

We are also building our sponsorship and show calendars - although the show list will be minimal - traffic control patterns.

2009 will be a huge year for us, and will demand a careful use of our resources so we don't get side-tracked.

Nov 2008 revenue was 9% higher than Nov 2007.

Nov was 1.5% lower than Oct. Considering Nov is one day shorter than Oct, one would expect Nov rev to be 3% less than Oct. (For VOD revenues accounted by day of viewing).

Hard DVD sales were the weakest component of Nov revenue. My main DVD distributor posts sales as orders ship, and they they do not ship on Sundays. Nov 30 was on a Sunday, therefore some of Nov orders will be posted to Dec, as they ship.
