Because...
1) They couldnt prove that the $25 billion was the 'actual' amount they needed.
2) They couldnt prove that after getting the $25 billion they would become profitable.
3) They didnt know how the $25 billion would be split between them.
4) They didnt have any business plan to present how they would actually use the money.
5) They agreed they paid their workers to much.
6) They had no plans to 'change' how they currently operated.
7) They couldnt say they wouldnt need another bailout further down the line.
8) They didnt want to develop 'new' products that customers actually want.
9) They didnt want to re-organize their companies management.
10) They flew to Washington in private jets.
Seems like the American auto industry is pretty much screwed and they just wanted this bailout money because Wall St got a bailout.
Seriously who in their right mind goes for a handout without having some basic 'facts' on hand about how they are going to use the money, what they will do to improve their business, etc, etc?
As i said in the other thread, lets these companies fail, they deserve it after the last few days.
