Does It Annoy You When...

Someone starts a thread and you respond with the information that person is looking for and either..

1) The original thread starter never bothers to check the thread again.

2) The original thread starter posts on multiple boards asking the exact same question and states they havent gotten the answer yet elsewhere.

Are there people that you have stopped responding to because of this?

The second one annoys me!

I don't like this "play one board against the other". There are multiple boards in any community to serve different purposes or just act as places to network... after all you don't always go to the same bar do you?

But to say "I'm posting this here because no one on board x bothered to reply" is silly and promotes drama and infighting that is counter-productive to our community.

Seriously though, we have about 3 bars we visit on a regular basis, all in order, 2 straight and 1 gay LOL

No, it doesn't bother me. After years on boards, forums, chats and things like such my level of expectation is very low.

Every now and then I think people forget to respond to a thread in which they seek a response but not so often that it's stuck in my head as them being rude where I've stopped responding to them :bush:

sometimes I ask questions and lurk to see what people answer. Sometimes I ask the same question on different forums because different people see it and answer. And yes there are a lot of thread authors that I totally ignore now.
