Xbox 360 or Playstation 3?

Which is better and why? I know it's a matter of preference, but I'd like to hear what YOUR preference is!

Xbox 360 all the way, UNLESS there are certain games that are PS3 exclusives. But, few are now.

Reasons:

1. Better online community. (IMHO)
2. Netflix downloads
3. Controllers are much better.
4. Price
5. Games are equal (Many are actually better on the Xbox)
6. Backward compitable w/ MANY Xbox games
7. Fable II, GOW2, Halo3, so many Xbox 360 only games...

UNLESS, you REALLY want a blu ray player. But, unless you watch action movies, there is not a hell of a lot of difference w/ regular dvd.

agreed. 360 is a much better system.

I've never seen any backwards compatibility though.

Only two comments so far?

I must admit I may be leaning towards PS3 because I think I want a Bluray player and getting a PS3 just for that seems reasonable since a dedicated Bluray player is still in the $250 range.

I was asking myself the same question about a month ago. Then I realized that I don't need another timewaster machine

However, it really depends on what you plan on doing with it. Watching Blu-Ray and gaming? Or hardcore gaming with a few netflix rentals here and there.

PS3 because of the added Blu-ray ability. It also plays and upsamples your standard DVDs.

To be fair, I use it more to watch Blu-ray then I do for gaming. I would buy a PS3 instead of a standalone Blu-ray player, you get more bang for the buck.
